About the print

Description

Andy Warhol was an American visual artist, film director, and producer who was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art

He is known for his bright, colourful paintings and prints of subjects ranging from celebrities including Marilyn Monroe and Mohammed Ali, to everyday products such as cans of soup and Brillo pads.

The Moonwalk complete portfolio by Andy Warhol was printed in 1987 by Rupert Jasen Smith in New York. The series depicts Neil Armstrong’s famous photograph of Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin, Jr. walking on the moon for the first time in 1969 during the Apollo 11 mission. The Moonwalk suite demonstrates both Warhol’s artistic talent and his ability to create art and permanence out of intangible moments.

PrintING and Framing

The images are printed on archival museum-quality 260gsm Lustre paper which is a middle ground between Matte & Gloss so the print colours are vibrant but with less glare.

The paper is perfect for fine art, designed to last for years without losing its original beauty.

Framing is done using high quality 30mm Wood Frames (Black or White) a White Acid Free Mat Board & Glass.

A Wire Hangwire is attached to the back so you all you have to do is choose the position and hang the print.

Customised Framing

We offer Black or White frames as standard however we can also supply different coloured frames if required, The same applies to larger or specific frame sizes. contact us on support@roguesgallery.co.nz for more information on customised framing.
