About the print

Description

The House of Dior was established on 16 December 1946.

However, the current Dior corporation celebrates "1947" as the opening year. Dior was financially backed by wealthy businessman Marcel Boussac.  Boussac had originally invited Dior to design for Philippe et Gaston, but Dior refused, wishing to make a fresh start under his own name rather than reviving an old brand.

Christian Dior was known for being superstitious. He often consulted his astrologer before making decisions, and his collections frequently featured talismanic symbols. He also carried a cluster of lucky charms with him, believing they brought him good fortune.

PrintING and Framing

The images are printed on archival museum-quality 260gsm Lustre paper which is a middle ground between Matte & Gloss so the print colours are vibrant but with less glare.

The paper is perfect for fine art, designed to last for years without losing its original beauty.

Framing is done using high quality 30mm Wood Frames (Black or White) a White Acid Free Mat Board & Glass.

A Wire Hangwire is attached to the back so you all you have to do is choose the position and hang the print.

Customised Framing

We offer Black or White frames as standard however we can also supply different coloured frames if required, The same applies to larger or specific frame sizes. contact us on support@roguesgallery.co.nz for more information on customised framing.
